RUNNER'S EDGE PROGRAMS & CLASSES

Tuesday Morning Boot Camp (February 2 to April 6): Boost your running with this all purpose strength workout specifically designed for runners with its use of drills, plyometrics, and calisthenics at the 68's Inside Sports indoor football field. These workouts complement your training so you won’t have to change a thing running-wise. There are 10 classes on Tuesday mornings 5:15-6:15am. All abilities can be accommodated and you are welcome to enjoy a complimentary workout. For more details, view the flyer.

Tuesday Evening Speed Sessions (February 16 to May 25): Make your speed workouts count with our variety of cutting edge group training sessions designed to improve your speed, stamina and strength on hills to primarily improve half marathon or marathon times, but also 5K/10K times. All abilities are welcome as workouts are customized for various levels and races. We invite you to enjoy a complimentary workout anytime. We’ll have 14 group workouts on Tuesday evenings at 6:15pm. CLASSES
*These excellent cross training classes are organized exclusively for Runner's Edge participants (non-RE folks are welcome also) and are effective ways to improve overall fitness and weight management in ways that running cannot.

1) Sunday Spinning Class: Get an additional quality workout without the risk of injury and burn lots of calories. Led by instructor and 11:20 pace group leader, Lisa Fleming, this weekly 1 hour class is held at 3pm at 68’s Inside Sports (11301 W. 88th, OP, KS 66214). Class fee is $5.00. Please arrive in the lobby by 2:45pm. For more information, contact Lisa at mlfle@aol.com

2) Thursday Cross Training Class: Through a variety of cardio, core, and strengthening equipment, instructor and owner Kenny Hensen, keeps your heart rate up while providing a complete body workout. This class is held 7-8pm on Thursdays at his Cross Training Club (11818 Quivira Rd., OP, KS 66210). He provides 8 week classes for $85 but you can sign up anytime for a pro rated fee.
